The Gateway to the Dales

Kerver Equine Performance is a small horse production operation, based out of Abbotsholme Stud, straddling the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border, in picturesque rolling Derbyshire Dales.

Established in 2017, Kerver has worked with a multitude of clients and their horses in the Midlands area, producing and competing numerous horses and riders at a National Level.

With large, clean, professional American-style barn stabling, acres of turn out space, a walker, jumping and flatwork arenas, lunge pen, and extraordinary local hacking, we offer an exceptional location to train your horse. Also, with our proximity to renowned centres such as Fieldhouse and Eland Lodge, we offer a clear pathway to competitive returns.

Accomplished Tuition

Due to our extensive resources, we offer tailored tuition to both new and experienced riders. From flatwork to jumping, we offer packages to suit any request, including video breakdown of your lesson for further study at home.

A Lifelong Pursuit

Mairead McGrath is an experienced BHS qualified instructor. Starting riding at the age of 6 years old, she has worked in some of the top yards in the country since the age of 16, competing at a National level in both Eventing and Dressage, on both her own and client horses. As well as being a seasoned competitor, Mairead is also a well regarded coach to young riders looking for a way in to the sport.
